There are a number of charities and organisations whose aim is to promote the idea of a financial education to the British public. At the same time, however, with many people attempting to make money by selling various types of financial education to the public it can be a very confusing topic. Who should you trust?

Money Advice Service

This is a government-sponsored organisation who provide independent advice and general information in a range of financial subjects – anything from debt, borrowing, mortgages to retirement and insurance.

Citizens Advice Bureau

They provide free, independent, confidential and impartial advice to individuals in relation to their rights and responsibilities. The citizens advice bureau is different to the money advice service in that it in addition to offering advice and information via their website, they also offer their services over the phone and face to face.
